force peak problems

Hello Sir

I have a problem with the peak forces in the model. It had 3 boxes of different length crushed by the wall during the crushing i had got the required peak force for the first box but after the 30 mm from starting from the crushing of first box there is the another box placed which has to be show the peak force more than the first one also the same for the third box. But i had got the results that has not very much increase in the peak force at second and the third stage that it has to be. should it required to be constrained at different positions? the following picture shows the results that i must get. these are the results for the similar model that i am working on but i cant able to get those results.please help......

Hi,

Can you try with the attached model?.

The model set up looks fine but I made some slight modifications with the contact and also I removed one boundary condition.

The I don't have the hypermesh 17 so this model shows some opening error could you send me with the version 14?

hello Sir,

This model has same results that i want but there is one problem at 60,90 displacement there should be another peak. During this run there is no peak at 90 where the third inner box start to be crushed. what is the problem with this part? these are the results that i got but there should be peak present at the 60,90 displacement..

I think the problem for not getting the peaks at 60, 90,120 is the middle structure starts to crushed at 30 so, it has crushed and before the wall reaches to the edges at 60 the middle crushed structure crushes these edges. Similar problem is for the inner structure that it has crushed due to other structures before the wall reaches to it.So what should be the solution for this problem?

Hi,

Please try these workarounds:

Modify the imposed load curve as: 0 0

0.04 -125

For the rigid body master node fix all dof's except translation in Y direction.

Run the model with these modifications and try plotting.
