Implicit Riks output

Hi,
I doubt whether it is possible to write the loading scale factor into an output file. I'll check regarding this and will update you.
In the engine out file after every iteration you can see TIMESTEP IS ADJUSTED BY RIKS METHOD TO: ______ and the value here gives information about the increment information.

Hi George,
'TIMESTEP IS ADJUSTED BY RIKS METHOD TO: ' does not show up in my output file.
The only mentions of Riks in the output file are the following:
AUTOMATIC TIME STEP WITH RIKS METHOD:
DESIRED CONVERGE ITERATION NUM. . . . . . . 10
MAXIMUM CONVERGE ITERATION NUM. . . . . . . 25
DECREASING TIME STEP SCALE FACTOR. . . . . 0.6666667
MAXINUM INCREASING TIME STEP SCALE FACTOR 1.200000
CONSTANT ARC-LENGTH. . . . . . .. . . . . 0.5000000
CONSTRAINT TYPE . . . .. . . . . . . . . . 2
LOADING CONTRIBUTION SCALE FACTOR . . . . 0.000000From the Radioss manual:
/IMPL/NONLIN/SOLVINFO: Outputs solving information for each iteration in nonlinear implicit methods.
I guess this would give me the needed informations but I do not have this card in HW14.0.0.88(2016).
thank you

Hi,
You can input this keyword, /IMPL/NONLIN/SOLVINFO manually in the engine file. And this timestep info on every iteration is available 2017 version.
Meanwhile I recommend you to download the latest HyperWorks version, HyperWorks 2017 which includes many new features. Please visit http://www.altairhyperworks.com/hw2017/ for an overview on the latest features in HW 2017. You can download the same from https://connect.altair.com/
