Modelling Frequency Response Impulse Hammer Test

Hi,

 

I would perform an Impact Hammer Test on a panel and plot acceleration in some points of that.

 

I don't know if i'm right following the frequency response tutorial (i'm not sure if use modal or direct method), so i have 2 question:

1. How can i model (if possible) the load as an impulse?

2. I have the damping loss factor function the frequency of the material. How can I input this on the model?

Hi,

 

You can provide the load Vs frequency curve using TABLED1 and refer the same to RLOAD# card which takes the load.

 

2. You can provide damping table using TABDMP1 and run a modal frequency analysis.
