Dear Sir,

I am facing a problem with a material indentation problem with Radioss. The Simulation crashes due to negative volume in the element. Please could you check as to where i am going wrong?

Regards,

Praveen

    Hi Praveen,

    DId you check RADIOSS help?

This is mainly due to high deformation of solid meshes. Fully-integrated brick elements are especially affected by this problem which may be caused by a bad interface behavior or bad material definitions. In any case, the use of co-rotational formulation is recommended to avoid bad shear deformation response.

add /DT/BRICK/CST and check if that helps.

    Hi @roybudha

Can you try with type 18 contact instead of type 9 and check if that helps?
