Hello all,

I am a new user of Radioss and I need your help.

I am modelling two doors with a lock with a Johnson Cook failure model, on which I am applying a time dependant pressure.

However, I have the following error, multipule times: 'TIME STEP LESS OR EQUAL DTMIN FOR SOLID ELEMENT'

I am already using Ismstr =2 in my P14 solid property and I have a type 2 interface, so the lock keeps a tied contact with the others doors. And I want the failure of the lock.

I do not know how to solve this issue. Is there any options/ method to remove this error?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Hammada,

The solid elements in your model is getting badly deformed that the time step has dropped very badly and this has terminated the run.

Check the material parameters and ensure proper material type is selected and the inputs are correct.

    Hi George P Johnson,

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

Indeed, my lock is getting deformed but it is intended. I am looking for its failure. Here are my material parameters: (I am working with the IS units)

I also added a failure model:

    I don't see any probelms.

    Thank you for your time.

    Kind regards,

    RJ Hammada.
