Submodel with contacts/Non linearity

Hi,

I am trying to perform submodel analysis. I have followed everystep as tutorials suggest but I have contacts in my Global model which is not allowed for sub model analysis.

 

I wanted to know if there is any other way to go ahead.

Also i want to check if I can use FBD module for my model

Hi,

 

Submodelling (GLOBSUB) is not available for non-linear analysis, unfortunately. Our developers are working to extend global-local modeling to other analysis types. 

 

From OptiStruct help>> Global-Local modeling>> comments:

This functionality is currently available for linear static analysis only. All optimization types with responses from Linear Static Analysis are supported.
