Wrong strain.

Hi! 

 

I'm trying to setup some simple simulation in order to learn to work with radioss. My E-mod is set to 210'000 (MPa), my pressure is 21'000(MPa). Materials are assigned correctly. When I calculate the overall strain analytically I get 10%. Why does my simulation give me 0.21%. (from l_0 = 40 to l = 40.087). See attached files.

Hi,

If the model set up is correct as per the problem description, the results will also match. Ensure that the material parameters are correct (Rho value and E) and recheck the loads and BCs applied in the model. Also consider rechecking the analytical calculations.
