Help with schock analysis

Hello,

I am supposed to make a shock analysis for a student project and have troubles getting good results. Every time there are either huge physically impossible spikes from some nodes on the model that completely destroy the results or 0 displacement and 0 stresses aka 0 results.

I am using following load collectors to simulate the shocks:

RLOAD2 with:

Tabled1 (containing the loads) as DPHASE TB

Constraint: defining the nodes where the shock is introduced (using the DAREA load type).

freq1 which is a Freqi card used for the subcase definition

There is also a set of constraints SPC1 defined as SPC to represent the exterior environment to the model.

As loadsteps i'm using a subcase definition with Freq. resp (direct) as analysis type with the SPC1 as SPC and rload2 as DLOAD and Freqi as FREQ. The only subcase option is ANALYSIS with DFREQ selected.

Simulation is done in Optistruct with the analysis mode.

Now the question is am i doing something wrong? Am i using the right cards or loadsteps for this type of simulation?

Thank you in advance,

Anna

    Hi Anna,

Is there a reason for Using DPHASE_Option?

DPHASE on RLOAD# should refer to DPHASE card entry and not a tabld1

Instead, can you use TC to refer the tabled1 and check if that helps?
