Hello Altair Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue where PSIM remains functionally restricted even though activation succeeds with my Student Edition key (LAH4R-T5HRK-XXXXX-XXXXX).
[Current Symptoms]
- Activation: The activation process via Altair License Utility completes with "Activation Successful".
- Behavior in PSIM:
- PSIM launches without errors and can successfully open existing example files (
.psimsch). - However, creating a new schematic (
File -> New) is grayed out / disabled. - Most core features appear restricted, similar to a demo or unlicensed mode.
[Troubleshooting Attempted]
- Executed PSIM and License Utility with Administrator privileges.
- Set the system environment variable (
ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH). - Completely cleared all local license caches (
%APPDATA%, %LOCALAPPDATA%, ~/.altair_licensing, %ProgramData%\altair\licenses) before reactivating. - Adjusted folder security permissions for full access.
Since I have completed all standard local troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, I am unsure whether this is caused by a backend token/profile configuration or something else entirely.
