Hello Altair Support,

I am using the PSIM Student Edition.

I recently formatted and reinstalled Windows on my computer. After reinstalling PSIM, I tried to activate my Student License again, but I received the error:

“This license was already activated using different HostIDs.”

I also tried to deactivate the license, but it showed:

“License not found.”

This is the same physical computer. The only change is that Windows was formatted and reinstalled.

Could you please reset/deactivate the previous HostID activation on your side so that I can reactivate my Student License on this computer?

I can provide my Activation Key or other license information privately if required.

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
