Student Edition License already activated on different HostIDs

Hello,

I am a student using the Altair Student Edition License. I am trying to activate my license on my current Linux computer, but Altair License Utility shows the following error:

“Error activating license: This license was already activated using different HostIDs.”

I checked my Altair account and I can see several authorized machines associated with my account. I would like to remove the old/unused activations so I can activate the Student Edition License on my current computer.

Could you please reset the existing machine activations or release the previous HostIDs associated with my license?

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
