Request to reset/deactivate my previous PSIM Student License activation after reinstalling Windows.

Hi Altair Support Team,

I am using the PSIM 2026.1 Free Student Edition.

Recently, my laptop experienced some technical issues, so I had to reinstall Windows. After reinstalling Windows, my HostID was changed.

Unfortunately, I forgot to deactivate my PSIM license before reinstalling Windows. As a result, my Student License key is still associated with the previous HostID, and I am currently unable to activate PSIM on my laptop.

Could you please help me reset or deactivate the previous activation associated with my old HostID so that I can reactivate PSIM using my current Student License key?

I would greatly appreciate your technical support in resolving this issue.

@thanhdat_241005 Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
