I have created an LS-DYNA model with a 2D shell mesh for a
plate of size 100 mm × 20 mm × 10 mm. The model has excitation nodes selected
at the middle of the top edge, and there is a circular hole with a radius of 2
mm at the center of the plate.
I would like to study the effect of the hole size on the
excitation response by varying the hole radius from 2 mm to 5 mm in increments
of 0.25 mm. This would require multiple analyses with different hole sizes.
Could you advise on the best way to automate these runs
while maintaining a single base model? Specifically, I am looking for guidance
on whether HyperMesh-LS-DYNA supports parameterized geometry, scripting, batch
execution, design studies, or any other approach that would allow the hole size
to be varied automatically without manually creating and meshing each model.
Any recommendations or example workflows would be appreciated.
