Request to reset PSIM Free Student License activation after Windows reinstall

Hi Altair Support Team,

I am using the PSIM 2026.1 Free Student Edition. Recently, I reinstalled Windows on my laptop, which changed my previous HostID.

Unfortunately, I forgot to deactivate the license before reinstalling Windows. As a result, I can no longer activate PSIM because the license is still associated with the old HostID.

Could you please reset/deactivate the previous activation on your side so that I can reactivate PSIM using my current Student License key?

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

Hi Altair Support Team,

Because of this, my current HostID has changed, and my previous activation remains tied to the old environment. I am now unable to activate PSIM with my Student License key.

Could you please reset/deactivate all previous activations associated with my account/key on your side so I can complete a clean activation on my current setup?

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
