Request to reset my Student License

Question

Hello,

I tried installing SimLab on a Windows VM and used the license key to try and activate it. The software was not able to work on my system since it was ARM-based so I needed to install it onto a different system instead. However, since the license was previously used, it is no longer valid for activation.

Could my license please be reset so that I can use it on my new system?

Thank you for your response. I went ahead and activated it again, however, I now get an error which says that Windows Remote Desktop is not supported.

Does this mean that there is no way to set up this student license on my lab server for me to access?

Are my only two options the following:

a) Purchase a Windows computer since my current one is an ARM-based Macbook. In which case, I have already deactivated the same license twice (including the time from your end) and activated it three times (including initial activation) so if I went this route would it even be possible to do that once more or would it get blocked?

b) Have my lab purchase some non student license that would allow for a Windows Remote Desktop connection. In this case, which license would be required to purchase and would it be possible for multiple users to use to justify the purchase?

Your license key has been deactivated in Altair One, and you can now reactivate your student license using the same key.

Kindly note, The Altair Free Student Edition license is valid for use on only one device, it cannot be shared or activated on multiple machines at the same time AND Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
