No bodies present in solution" after importing STEP geometry

Hello everyone,

I am new to Altair SimLab 2026 Student Edition and currently trying to perform a CFD simulation using AcuSolve.

I imported a STEP model of a microfluidic chip with an internal serpentine channel and successfully created a CFD mesh. However, when setting up the CFD analysis, I encounter the following issues:

Boundary Conditions remain unavailable or cannot be properly assigned.
When creating an Inlet, SimLab displays:
"Please select faces from solution: Flow_1"
Running Data Check results in:
"No bodies present in solution. Data check failed."

The geometry contains an internal serpentine channel intended for fluid flow. I suspect there may be an issue related to fluid domain creation or body assignment to the Flow solution.

Could anyone advise:

How to verify whether the fluid domain has been correctly created?
How to assign the fluid body to the CFD solution?
Whether there are any limitations in SimLab 2026 Student Edition regarding CFD setup?
