I need help with a PSIM 2026 licensing issue.
I have been using PSIM normally on my Windows PC. Recently, my monitor broke, so I tried to access that same Windows PC from my Mac using Windows Remote Desktop, just to be able to see and control the PC screen.
However, PSIM never worked correctly through the remote desktop session. It started showing a license error. After that, even when I went back to using the original Windows PC directly, PSIM stopped opening correctly and now shows the same license problem.
In License Setup, I am using Altair Units with my AltairOne account, and the status says:
This computer is authorized.
But it also shows:
Checking Power Supply (Named User) error: -40
Checking Power Supply error: -40
Checking Student error: -40
When I try to use PSIM, I also get messages such as:
Altair License Manager: license error
Feature(s): PSIMPowerSupplyFeature
Error Code: 15
[NETWORK] 6200@localhost - Unable to connect to license server
and:
Altair Managed Licensing: license error
Feature: PSIMPowerSupplyFeature
Error Code: -40
Requested feature name was not found in licenses
Before trying to use Windows Remote Desktop, PSIM worked normally on this same PC, with this same PSIM version and the same AltairOne account. I did not change accounts or install a different PSIM version.
Could you please help me understand how to reset or refresh the local authorization/license configuration? It looks like the computer is authorized, but PSIM is still unable to check out the required feature.
