PSIM Student License Error: "already activated using different HostIDs" after computer change

Hi everyone,

I am trying to migrate my PSIM student license to a new computer. I have already deactivated and removed my old machine from my account. If I check my Altair One profile, under "Authorized Machines," only my new machine is listed.

However, when I try to use my Auth Code in the Altair License Utility on this new PC, I keep getting the following error:

"Error activating license: This license was already activated using different HostIDs."

It seems like my Auth Code is still locked to the old MAC address on the server side, even though the portal shows everything is correct. Has anyone experienced this or knows how to force a reset/sync for my Auth Code?

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
