S-Frame 2026 Update - Errors and missing steel database

Question

Hello,

My 2025 S-frame was working but when I updated to 2026 I encountered several errors:

* I can't create new models. It gives me the following error and I can't proceed:

When I open existing models, the steel database is missing from the sections tab and settings…

Should I just revert back to 2025?

Thanks for the reply Tayen.

I deleted all the .ini files but I'm still getting the same errors.

I figured I'll open a case through the support platform, but for some reason I can't register, whenever I set my password it just says something went wrong…and I'm not sure why.

Hello Kendrick, thank you for your message.

This might be an error due to the update, one think you can try is to delete the configuration settings file SFRAME2026 (used to be the SFRAME2025.ini file) from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\S-FRAME Software on your local drive.

This file doesn't get removed when the old version is uninstalled and it doesn't get replaced during the installation of a new version. Sometimes the content of this file will not work with the new version.

After deleting any remaining .ini files, please try running S-FRAME 2026 again.

If that doesn't work I would recommend opening a case through our support platform, guaranteeing a faster response time and personalized support.
