Hello,
I have been working through the tutorial ACU-T 6103: AcuSolve–EDEM Bidirectional Coupling with Heat Transfer. In my case, particles are in contact with a hot wall (~600 K), and I would like to include radiative heat transfer effects on the particles.
I noticed in the AcuSolve 2026 release notes that a new feature has been introduced to account for radiation between particles in the EDEM–AcuSolve coupling.
I have a couple of questions:
- Does this new radiation feature also account for radiation exchange between particles and surrounding geometry (e.g., walls), or is it limited to particle–particle interactions only?
- If particle–wall radiation is not included in this feature, what would be the recommended approach to model it?
- Are there any tutorials or example cases demonstrating radiation modeling in coupled AcuSolve–EDEM simulations?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
