Documentation about the usage of CGAP - Post processing

Dear, I am strugling to post process the contact results of analysis with CGAP elements in Hyperview.

My main focus now is post processing, but please it would be helpful if someone could also share with me some documentation about the usage of CGAPs in linear and non-linear analysis. Training material (hands on tutorials) are also welcome.

I obviously already read the altair reference guide; thanks anyway for sharing.

I am runnring a model with CGAPs, but I the h3d file does not generate any information regarding the contact status such as open/closed and contact forces.

In the case control section I use the requests parameter:

CONTF(H3D, OPTI, ALL) = ALL
ELFORCE(H3D, OPTI) = ALL

There are some summary information in the *.out file with a summary about the contact behavior, such as number of open/closed cgaps; however, there is no detailed information regarding which individual cgaps are open or closed.

The *.force file is exporting the contact forces; but I do not fully understand this meaning, because the load path is not clear. You would need to check my model, but there this cgap is used in a joint; and the magnitude of force force is much lower than the force effectively transmitted. In concludsion, I need to understand what the solver is effectively exporting as contact force.

In summary, I need a documentation to understand how to post-process cgap forces and contact information in hyperview/hypermesh; I also need a documentation that explain the meaning of these output results, including the output forces.

Just an additional information. I could map the load path, so I am satisfied with my understanding regarding the load transfer aspects.

However, the post processing of the contact results and the vector plot of the 1D forces are the aspects that I still need some support. It is very annoying, and I am only able to do it througn derived results; through math transformation of X, Y, Z scalar plots of the countour into vector.

Note: I could not find any detalied post-processing regarding the contact status (gap open/closed).
