How to create custom Stator from Simlab and then export it in Fluxmotor to check the performance ??

Hello Altair Community,

I am currently developing a high-speed permanent magnet motor using SimLab 2025 and FluxMotor 2025.

Due to the highly specific nature of our stator and rotor laminations, I am moving away from standard templates. I have successfully created the custom geometry within the SimLab Sketcher environment to ensure topological integrity. My goal is to use the "FluxMotor Part Creation" utility to parameterize these sketches and publish them directly to the FluxMotor catalog for rapid performance mapping (Efficiency maps, T/N curves).

The Technical Issue:While following the official Altair tutorial "FluxMotor Part Creation from SimLab Sketcher", I encountered a limitation: In my SimLab 2025 interface, the drop-down menu for Part Creation only displays options for Rotor Parts. The Stator Part option is missing or inactive.

Questions for the Experts:

1. Feature Availability: Is the dedicated "Stator Part" export from SimLab Sketcher a new feature reserved for the upcoming 2026 release, or should it be available in the 2025 version?
2. Configuration: Are there specific prerequisites (e.g., active Solution Profile, specific Naming Conventions for the sketch, or License Features) required to "unlock" the Stator creation option in SimLab 2025?

I would appreciate any insights or workarounds to keep this workflow within the SimLab/FluxMotor ecosystem.

Thanks for reaching out.

1. For version 2025, only inner magnet type was available. In 2025.1 both Inner Magnet & Outer Slot parts were made available and in version 2026 Inner Salient Pole part was made available. I would Suggest you install latest 2026 version, to access 3 parts and to take advantages of improvements we made.

2. Yes, there are few check points, we should take care while we export part to FluxMotor. There is a dedicated help page on SimLab help page on the topic. You can click on question mark icon on SimLab GUI( on right top of screen). This will redirect you to main help page, from there select analysis> FluxMotor to read instructions, check points and Limitations carefully. There might be few differences between each version check points.
