I am an academic user operating PSIM through my university's license system. I am facing two critical licensing issues that prevent continuous use of the software:
- Stuck License Key on Decommissioned Laptop
My initial PSIM license key seems to be permanently stuck/checked out on an old laptop that has failed and is now completely non-operational. I urgently need assistance in releasing or resetting this license key from the server so that its usage slot becomes available. - Persistent Access Error in VMware VM
I am currently running PSIM von a Windows 11 VM using VMware Fusion on my MacBook Pro.
The Problem: Every time I close the PSIM session and shut down my computer, the license gets stuck. Upon the next startup, I receive a persistent "Access denied" or similar license error.
Steps Taken: I have already followed the best practice of performing a FULL Shut Down of the Windows OS within the VM before closing the VMware application. Despite this proper procedure, the license still appears to be incorrectly checked out/stuck on the server.
Do you have any solutions?
