Hi,

In 1D spring Creation, How to create a spring between two faces?

I used two methods,
1) Create a Rbe 2 in the two spring connecting surface, then directly create a spring by picking two center nodes of rbe's from the two surfaces.

2) Create a center nodes just below the two spring connecting surfaces, then create a spring using those nodes. Then create a rbe2 for those surfaces by picking 1 face and spring connected nodes/

Which is right way to create spring elements?

Either way is fine. Without knowing the actual physical model behavior, tough to give much advice.

Are you having an issue with either method? I would assume the difference would be quite small if I am understanding you.

But keep in mind, you are still building a representation of a model for simulation. You will make simplifications.
