How to generate code for a PFC circuit from PSIM using Embed v2025.1 for STM32?

Description:

I have designed a PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit using Altair PSIM and I now want to generate embedded code for it using Altair Embed v2025.1 targeting an STM32 microcontroller.

However, I'm struggling to get started because I can't find any beginner-friendly learning resources or tutorials for the latest version of Embed. The interface and workflow are very new to me, and it’s a bit overwhelming since I’ve never used this kind of software before.

Can anyone please guide me through the steps required to generate the embedded code for my PFC circuit using Embed? I’d really appreciate it if someone could walk me through the basics and help me understand the process clearly.

For context:

I'm a Bachelor’s student in Electronics, very eager to learn.
I can offer a small BTC payment for a personal tutorial, though it's not much.

Hi,

If you intend to run from EMBED, there are multiple reference examples available. It appears you are currently trying to verify results purely in simulation. Before that, please review the following examples:

Pulse Generation Example – This example simply generates pulses.

You can view the pulses in simulation.
Alternatively, connect the STM hardware, compile, and download the code to observe the signals at the selected GPIO pins.

HIL Example – In this example, hardware-in-the-loop operation is demonstrated.

First, select the blink block as shown in the image, then compile and build.
An .elf file will be generated — place this file in the HIL block.
Then, compile and download to the hardware.
By changing the duty cycle in the simulation, you can observe the variation both in the hardware and in the simulation results.
As shown in the example, HIL-specific blocks must be used.

Hi,

The PSIM-EMBED wrapper link feature will help you in this. With PSIM-EMBED wrapper link, one can generate the code using STM-32. Please go through the following tutorial.

I hope this tutorial will help you to generate code with STM-32.

Thank you so much for the response Siddhart Sir, I read the tutorial and found out about the custom DLL block that I can generate from PSIM and use it in Embed instead of recreating the control circuit in embed from scratch, however My licence doesn't include SIMCODER module so I cannot do that but its not a problem as we can create the controller in embed from scratch. I was going through the Embed STM32 PWM block but can't figure out a way to get the generated duty in embed plot block. I did check out the help section of the PWM block but it wasn't clear. Please look into my current embed diagram, as i move the slider in real time simulation, I don't get any waveform from the PA8 simulated GPIO pin, please help me figure out , I troubleshooted whole day yesterday but no luck.
