Extracting total simulation time.

Is there a feature or method to obtain the total simulation time with full decimal accuracy?  I noticed that PSIM displays the total simulation time after a run, but it only shows a rounded value. So is there any method to extract the exact simulation time in any of its output files or logs?

This is a nice question! A quick answer that comes to mind is Python's "library".

Step1 - Automate PSIM with Python

[you can find examples in "C\Altair\Altair_PSIM_2025.1\Python\Samples"]

Step2 - Use this python code to measure execution time:
import time

# Start the timer

tic = time.time()

#PSIM Call

…..here include the PsimSimulate function only, not the psim import and initilization stuff….

# End the timer

toc = time.time()

# Calculate and print elapsed time

elapsed = toc - tic

print(f"Elapsed time: {elapsed:.4f} seconds")
