FluxMotor export LUD file to PSIM

Recently I export LUD file from FluxMotor.(Export format: MAT-PSIM-Activate)

I use this file in PSIM (PMSMFluxMotor) units and get this wrong message "Can not find GRAPH_output axis : LOSS_IRON in Graph file".

If anyone know how to solve this, please kindly tell me.

This is a known problem with the v2023 version of PSIM/Flux. Please refer to this post:https://community.altair.com/discussion/23288

My guess is that this is a version compatibility problem. Updating to the latest versions of PSIM & Flux will fix the issue. However, if you can't update immediately, I can provide a temporary workaround.

The issue is attributed to a difference in the name of "iron losses" and "torque" headers in the .mat file.

Now, in case you want to change the column names by your own, the process is simple with Altair Compose.

With FluxMotor 2022.3 it was LOSS_IRON
with FluxMotor 2023, it is LOSS_IRON_STATOR.

With FluxMotor 2022.3 it was TORQUE
with FluxMotor 2023, it is ELEMENT_TORQUE_ELECTROMAG. 

 

Steps to fix the names:

1. Open Compose
2. Open the MAT Explorer and navigate to your .mat file
   

3. Right click and click on "Load All"

4. On the bottom left you should see the column names and datasets. Find the "ELEMENT_TORQUE_ELECTRO.." and Right Click >> Rename. Rename to "TORQUE"

5. Do the same for the "LOSS_IRON_STATOR" term. Rename to "LOSS_IRON"

6. Then write the following command with your own path:

That's it! You can then use the corrected .mat file.
