Description: FSI Simulation Fails with TCP socket write error
Product/Topic Name :
Hello, I’m running an FSI simulation coupling OptiStruct and AcuSolve (set up via SimLab 2023, MKS units).
Everything works fine when the mesh size is relatively coarse (e.g., 0.009 m or 0.006 m).
However, when I refine the mesh to 0.003 m, the simulation crashes after a few steps with the following error message from AcuSolve:acuSolve: *** ASSERTION in Function <iopWriteSock> File <iopSocket.c> Line <612>
acuSolve: *** TCP socket write error; Permission denied
acuRun: *** ERROR: error occurred executing acuSolve
Questions:
- What might be causing this TCP socket write error when the mesh is refined?
- Are there any recommended settings for time step or ramp to improve FSI convergence stability with finer meshes?
- Could the OptiStruct-side solver crash or timeout cause AcuSolve to fail writing to the socket?
I’ll upload the model files for further debugging if needed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
