We are pleased to provide engineering professors, a classroom ready course kit that will complement an engineering education in the basics of structural simulation and the reinforcement of First Principles. The course kit can be downloaded for free from our Altair Inspire Academic Hub at
https://web.altair.com/academic-hub-inspire
This course kit consists of 9 modules that contain everything necessary to complement classroom instruction of simulation concepts using Altair’s Inspire Software. This is not a kit to teach the software but rather teach simulation concepts using the industry leading power of Altair Inspire. Students will build the confidence to implement simulation principles taught in your class and gain the vital, career ready, skills of using a software like they will in their professional endeavors. While these modules do not teach the software directly, we provide numerous training assets on the academic hub page.
Revision C – 8 Apr 2025
This matrix outlines the modules and what is demonstrated in each. Professors can utilize the matrix to chose a module that teaches a specific simulation method or review the list of topics at the top to pick a module that demonstrates a specific simulation skill.
Each module will contain a starting point model, a video demonstrating the entire process, and a completed model that represents the correct configuration if the steps are performed correctly.
We readily encourage professors to download the entire course kit, put it to use in your class, and provide us feed back on how we can improve the modules and success stories of their implementation.
We continue to revise and improve these modules, based on that feedback, and can even create more if there are additional topics that can be of benefit.
We thank you for your use of our software and materials, and look forward to hearing back from you about the benefits you received and recommendations for improvement in the comments section below.
