Hi,

While in the Along Vector tool in the Microdialog window, it will be the fastest method to give orientation with CTRL + left mouse button. This way you can quickly change the extrude direction.

1. Select the along vector
2. Select the direction arrow and move the arrow to perpendicular direction
3. Esc and drag to continue
