SimLab Student Edition – Missing Solver Options and Loads/Constraintㄴ

Dear Altair Support Team,
I am currently using SimLab 2024.1 Student Edition, and I'm trying to perform a steady-state heat transfer analysis.
However, I noticed that my interface looks different from the tutorials and videos I’ve seen online. In particular:
- The "Solver" and "Select Bodies" options are missing when creating a solution.
- The "Create tie contacts between bodies" checkbox does not appear.
- Also, the "Loads and Constraints" option is grayed out and cannot be used.
I have already installed both the HyperMesh (Desktop exe) and Mechanical Solvers (OptiStruct, etc.) in the same installation directory, as instructed. OptiStruct appears to be installed correctly and works separately, but it seems SimLab is not recognizing it.
Could you please clarify:
- Is this limitation due to the Student Edition?
- Or is there a configuration issue I can fix to enable those features?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
Best regards,

Hi,
Have you installed the additionals during the SimLab installation?
IF not, please reinstall with the additionals, read the instructions and the readme in the marketplace, it is the document symbols next to each installer as shown above next to the download symbols

Thank you for your response.
Although I haven't been able to solve the issue yet, I'm glad to know that it's possible with the student license.
I'll try several times while referring to the manual.
Thank you again for your help.0
