polyhedral solver

Hi, does anybody know if I can use polyhedral solver with my Student Edition license? I imported my custom particle in STL format but when I try to start the simulation the program suddenly closes without any alert. Im using 2024.1 version of Altair EDEM.

Hi,

The limitation for the classroom edition is listed here:

https://web.altair.com/altair-student-edition

The Classroom edition runs on CPU only and Polyhedral particles require GPU to run, I'll check with the development team as it should give an error rather than close.
