Description: MMF calcuation in Altair flux

Product/Topic Name : Altair flux 2024.1

Hi,

I am new to this software and I wanted to know how to calculate the MMF using flux. Will someone help me with this?

Thank you in advance

    Hello,

Regarding the curve creation, you can plot H coordinates using the x or y coordinates which would be in the cartesian coordinate system but you can also use the normal/tangential component as well. I would suggest creating a coordinate system in cylindrical called CYL so that you use formulas in this coordinates system :
Comp(1,VLCS(CYL,H)) this is H first component in the CYL coord system (rad)
Comp(2,VLCS(CYL,H)) this is H second component in the CYL coord system (tan)

If you want to integrate this you could plot the curve and do the integral or create a Sensor which does the integral of these formulas on the path. It should be the same.

There are specific tools to look at the flux density in the airgap in particular from the Advanced menu, 3D curves for rotating machines, especially if you want to plot vs tim and space or do a double fft directly.

Let me know if you need more info.

    Best regards

So, I created a cylindrical coordinate system under geometry. And then I solved the simulation. Where exactly should I add these formulas? I tried adding them in computation under post-processing but it shows an error.
