Swicth activated student license from Hypermesh v2025 to Hypermesh v2023

Hi, I'm new to Altair software. I'm writing my thesis and I needed Hypermesh for some simulations. I activated Hypermesh v2025 with student license, but then the professor told me that is better to have v2023 for exchanging files. How can swicth the activation on v2023 from v2025? Already I unistalled Hypermesh v2025 and installed Hypermesh v2023 but I can't activate it. I tried the key I got for the activation of v2025 and it doesn't work.

Please use the student edition license key with the latest version of Altair software only.

Hi Rahul, maybe i didnt explain well.

I got the student lice key for 2025 then my univeristy told me that they use 2023 .I tried the same license i got for 2025 on 2023 released but didnt work. Just that, i was asking if is it possible to do the swap. Thank you for your support, kind regard.

We would advise and recommend that your university also upgrades to the latest version,

You can try the below but it is not officially supported to use the key in older versions

Download the version of Almutil GUI available here - https://s3.amazonaws.com/com.solidthinking.portal.public/almutil_15.0.0_win64_x64.zip after downloading and extracting this Almutil GUI, run Almutil GUI and enter the key in the activation tab similar to step 4, right click and copy the path that appears in blue

A Dialog will open in HyperWorks where in the license file path you need to navigate to the license location mentioned in blue in the activation tab and select the license file

Paste the copied link in the window that pops up on clicking the folder icon, choose all files and then select the .lic file in that location, then click open, then click activate to activate the product
