Boolean Operation not working in Simlab.

Hi ,
I am using Simlab to extract the fluid volume for My cad Model. For enclosed volume I Offset the surfaces of mating region for two parts. It was intersecting each other. But, i am trying to combine the parts. It shown Boolean operation failed.
Is there any specific conditions for Boolean the solids ?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Sivaprakash,
Can you share the model or some screenshot to better understand? Thank you

Hello Marc,
Thanks for your reply. This is the two parts which I tried to combine.
Green - MRF & Red - Solid Part.
The MRF was created from CAD software and Imported into Simlab.
I don't know why the boolean operation was not complete.
Thanks & Regards,

Hello,
How did you create the fluid section? I suppose you want connected mesh, but separate bodies, right? When doing the boolean operation do you have "create connected bodies" enabled?
Kind regards,

Hi marc,
As per my understanding, there two ways for creating fluid MRF Regionb in Simlab.
1) Create a cylinder body around the rotating body.
2) Offset the surfaces of fluid volume to 0.1mm or some extent.
Here Offset option was not working because of cad issues.
Then I followed the first approach , i.e Create a cylinder around rotating body.
Yes, I enabled that option.
And the other thing was, I created that fluid MRF from CAD sofware, then i imported it into simlab as separate assembly.
If both option are not working, can I use match mesh option?
Thanks & Regards,

Hello Sivaprakash,
I find it weird it is not working on CAD level. Is it possible to share the model or a simplification with similar problem? Difficult to understand the problems not looking at it. In the screenshot it seems the faces are touching each other, right? You could try to better create the fluid domain in SimLab, there are different methods. But using the join tool once meshed is also a possibility.
Kind regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,
I am not facing issue in creating the fluid volume.
Yes, I saw there are some options available in simlab for creating fluid volume.
I faced issues in Creating mrf region for rotating part. So I did it in CAD software, then import it into separate assembly in current working simlab database.
I made subtract operation for MRF and rotating parts, which you saw in above images.
Then I am trying to combine all the parts in assembly to create a fluid volume, but the mrf and rotating parts are not combined and shown boolean operation failed.
Could you suggest me that is there any other options for creating the MRF Region for rotating parts?Sorry, marc the model is not shareable.
Thanks & Regards
