The Siemens Community Catalyst program was co-created with our community to acknowledge technology leaders who consistently contribute to the Siemens Community. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis.
In guide page it shows that the value is based on the characteristic length of the contact interface. But how exactly it works?

Hi, The LMTGAP value is calculated automatically on OptiStruct, based on the characteristic length of the elements in the contact surface, if you want to know what this value is this, you can check at the output file. The characteristic length is given for each contact ID:
If you want to define a value different from that, you can set the LMTGAP.
