[PSIM] How to check the phase (angle) plot in the FFT of SimView

After you run a simulation in PSIM the results are viewed in the PSIM waveform viewer SimView. One of the analysis options is to do a frequency analysis, Fast Fourier Transform/ FFT. The FFT allows us to look at the amplitude and phase of the individual frequency components. Beware that to resolve frequencies enough samples are required, Nyquist criteria applies to both high frequencies and to resolve individual frequencies that are close to each at lower relative frequencies.

Basically, when FFT is executed, the magnitude value for each frequency of the data is displayed.
It is also possible to check the phase value according to the frequency. A method of displaying FFT as a phase value will be described.

As an example screen, use an example file from Motor Control Design Suite for PSIM's Design Suite.

First, we run the simulation.

Then, SimView is executed to confirm the result, and the data to be checked is selected.
As an example, we check by selecting the A-phase current from the three phases.

Set a time domain (X-axis) for frequency analysis and execute FFT.
Then you can check the Magnitude frequency characteristic graph.

To check the phase FFT characteristics, first activate the new plot window by clicking the "Add one screen" button.

It is activated on the screen that automatically selects data, but in some cases, it does not automatically pop up on the selection screen depending on the settings.
Then you can double-click the added window.

In this way, the phase FFT value can be checked.
