Hello! I am looking for a ready-to-run demo model of electronics box. This simulation would be done with SimLab+AcuSolve and ideally contain a cooling fan.
Hi Jouni,
In the learning center you can find different models and how to set it up. https://web.altair.com/altair-for-simlab-learning-center-trls
Kind regards,
Marc Steiger
Hi Marc,
thanks for the answer, but unfortunately the electric models in learning center use ElectroFlo as a solver. All AcuSolve models are for different application area.
Best Regards
Jouni Korhonen
I don't think there's a ready demo with these specifications for AcuSolve. Any reasons on why not to use ElectroFlo as it is created for this? Thanks!
Marc
Good Morning Marc,
there is a potential customer who has to apply solar radiation, which is available in AcuSolve, but not directly in ElectroFlo. I wanted to have an example of electronics simulation in AcuSolve vs. ElectroFlo.
Jouni
Hello Jouni, It is possible to assign the heat-flux on the surfaces in Eflow, but could you please tell me if there are shadowed regions, and they want to capture the exposed and shadowed regions automatically? We could suggest a workaround with the model available in the SimLab Learning Centre using ElectroFlow. It would be useful if you could share the details. Regards,
Katia
Hi Katia,
Products of the customer are placed both indoors & outdoors and sold worldwide. There are exposed and shadowed regions depending on the time of the day and how surrounding objects create shadow. Products can be placed directly under sun without any shelter or they might have some wall(s) or booth around them. Target is to find regions automatically.
Regards,
