Is there a software version requirement for coupling between edem and hyperworks?

I want to inquiry about the versions requirement between edem and the hyperworks during coupling.Could I use a the advanced version of hyperworks coupled with a previous version of edem? (e.g edem 2022.0 with the hyperworks 2023)

What kind of application were you looking to simulate? Is his coupling EDEM with HyperWorks CFD or other?

Hi Chao,

In general I would recommend making sure both HyperWorks CFD and EDEM are the same version, there are some updates which apply to both and may cause some issues if you mix.

Hi Stephen，

When i start performing the case of the windshifter_undirectional，coupling between the EDEM and hyperworks CFD，i can't find the EDEM model with the windshifter_undirectional.dem. Could i have the model of these EDEM coupling cases if you're connvient? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi It should have generated the files in Step 5 of the tutorial, it's probably best to check why it didn't create the files as that is a part of the tutorial. They should be generated in the problem directory.

Or you could try the 6101 tutorial which also uses the same geoemtry but generates the files in a differnet way (step 6)
