Micro Particles Problem in EDEM
Hi,
For creating a particle and calculating its properties, when the radius of the particle is 1 micro meter, the properties that I get are shown in red. What does this mean?
Does it mean that the software cannot handle this length scale? Because in one of my simulations the box that I created to hit the particles move past them like a ghost.

Hi Mostafa Jafari,
No need to worry about the red color, this is just giving alarm to the user about, are they entering correct size and distribution. In terms of physics absolutely no limitation when it comes to the particle size. EDEM supports double precision hence the particle size also supported in that scale.
Thanks,

OK. But in one of my simulations, I had particles with the radius of 1 micron, and a moving box was supposed to hit them, but it passed through the particles like a ghost. For bigger particles I did not have this issue.

Hi,
We wouldn't expect to see any issues, can you confirm if any contacts are detected, do you see different results with smaller time-step values?
