Availability of High-Fidelity PMSM and FOC Model Example for System (1D) Modeling
Hi
I am working on system (1D) modeling of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and drive using high-fidelity motor models from Flux and FluxMotor. Specifically, I aim to implement field-oriented control (FOC) for my motor.
I have come across a model that resembles what I need as shown below, but I cannot find this example in the resources provided with my Altair student license. I am using Twin activate v2024. Could you please guide me on whether this specific example is available for users with a student license? If so, how can I access or download it?
Your assistance will be invaluable for my project.
Thank You;

Hello!
Is there a specific reason for using Twin Activate? PSIM might be a better choice, it is a tool for modeling power electronics and motor drives and contains examples you will find very useful.
If using PSIM isn't an option, Twin Activate has additional libraries for energy storage and electric drives which can be downloaded from the marketplace. If you install these libraries, you will find that some of their examples, available in the demo browser, might be useful for your use case.

Hi
I have shifted towards the PSIM as you suggested, but i am facing an issue.
When I generate .mat file from Flux e-Machine Toolbox (MS mono-position computation mode)
for Twin Activate / PSIM it doesn't export lookup tables for iron losses and eddy current losses. But the control design suit in PSIM requires these lookup tables. So, is there anyway to generate all required lookup tables through Flux e-Machine Toolbox. If not, please suggest me any alternative to achieve my task.

Dear @Khizer321,
PSIM is expecting .mat files from Flux or FluxMotor that include copper and core losses, among other things.
-The process to generate them from Flux/FluxMotor is described here:
