What and where are the messages when you try to use more units in Altair SLC than you have?

I would like to add this information in a new book I am writing, but have discovered that connecting to a Local Server in Analytics Workbench while running a batch job counts as 10 units, not 10+10 = 20 units, so I cannot test this myself!

    Hi Phillip,

The message that would appear if you try to use more units in SLC than what you have would be similar to:

    Feature:WPSAnalyticsEngine
    Error Code: -10
    Error Description:
[LicID XXXXX] AU Data Analyst - (Err: -10) While checking out feature "GlobalZOneEU": Not enough features available (Only 1000 features available.)

    Thanks.

    Hi @Andrea_SanJuan,

Given I will be getting this message in Analytics Workbench, in which of these panels will the message be?

    1. Log for Local Server
    2. Console
    3. another panel

When I tried to run a program in batch, the messages telling me the program could not be opened appeared in different places, depending on the operating system:

    • Windows - in the Log file
    • Linux - in the Terminal window

This information could be vital if the user has never exceeded their units before………….Phil
