Failed to open Inspire 2024.1.1

Hi everyone,

Upon launching I receive the following error

Error loading C:/Program Files/Altair/2024.1/Inspire2024.1.1/hwx/plugins/freedom/core/win64/bin/hwfdmplugincore.dll: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I also cannot find any help or related problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This issue can arise on Windows laptops equipped with AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards when the application’s performance setting in the graphics card software is configured to "Optimize Graphics Performance."

Please change the graphics setting for icad or MSEmbed to 'High Performance' in your graphics card's software settings.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried to fix it by following your method, but I did not find "icad" or "MSEmbed " in the program settings. I also searched these two keywords on my computer but nothing was found.

I have also searched the path below, but nothing was found either.

"C:\Program Files\MicroSurvey\embeddedCAD (year)\MSEmbed.exe

C:\Program Files\MicroSurvey\MSCAD(year)\icad.exe"

I am using NVIDIA TITAN Xp.

Could you please give me further advice?

You can change the graphics settings by going to Start » Display Settings » Graphics Settings » Browse » C:\Program Files\Altair\2024.1\Inspire2024.1\hwx\bin\win64 » Options » High Performance

This method does not work on my computer.

I am currently using Inspire 2022.3, whcih is ok.
