Discrepancy in Initial conditions
I have 3 models in which only the material and shell thickness were varied. For all the three models I set the initial velocity same (4430 mm/s). However I see the initial velocity different in the models, even the initial velocity is not what I specified. Can someone please let me know why this occurs ?

I think what you are plotting there is the global model VX velocity?, this value is the weighted average of all the nodal velocities in your model (and doesn't really mean very much, it is provided just as a model check, the only concern should be if it is orders of magnitude different to what you expect for the model) as you change the gauge on your parts, the moving parts will have more or less influence on the average of moving/stationary parts.
If you want to check the velocity of the components that are moving, you should request a /TH/NODE on the nodes of the moving part.
Or you can review their velocity in animation file
See example below, I set up model with a structure having an inivel of 1500mm/s, but have another part in the model with inivel = 0, the measured velocity on the node of the structure is (-)1500, but the model value is some lower value due to it including the stationary component in the average, if I add that part also to the inivel, then the global is also 1500 (initially)

Thank you very much, Paul. That was really helpful and makes sense.
