Connect Tableau with RapidMiner
Hi everyone,
I'm new user in Rapid Miner, in fact I started to use it about on week. I was looking for information about the integration RapidMiner with Tableau but I didn´t found anything.
Anyone has integrated Tableau with RapidMiner?
I don't want to make a .tde or .hyper from RapidMiner, I want to integrated in real time Tableau with Rapid Miner.
If someone can help me, I appreciate it a lot.
Thanks,

Hi @André_RM,
this is usually done using a RM Server. RM Server is able to expose analysis' as ODATA source which can then be read into tableau.

hi @André_RM there are several Tableau integration videos on our YouTube channel:

I'm also tagging @M_Martin as our resident Tableau-RapidMiner guru to see if he has any insight.

Hi Andre: The RapidMiner and Tableau platforms have great synergy, and there are discussions going on right now between Tableau and RapidMiner re: deep API integration between the two platforms - so it's only a matter of time until you'll be able to send data to a RapidMiner model for real-time scoring with the results (i.e. predictions) coming right back to your Tableau worksheet or Dashboard in Tableau Desktop and / or Tableau Server.
Until then, you can write out predictions and other important prediction model metadata to a database from within a RapidMiner Studio process and then import this information right back to your Tableau workbook by refreshing the relevant data connections. As mentioned in a previous post, a RapidMiner Web Service can export a response to a call in oData format, which Tableau can also easily connect to.
If you have any further questions, please be in touch, I'll get back to you ASAP. Best wishes, Michael Martin
