Transeint Response ANalysis Topology Optimization?

Dear Altair Team,

One of the Altair user in DRDL wants to do Topology Optimization using Transient Response analysis deck.

he is applying time vs load input for which they want to check topology optimization results.

can you please let us know whether we can simulate this using optistruct optimization.

customer is expecting the answer at the earliest. if its possible please share the input deck or procedure to us asap.

Hi Karthik,

Topology optimization is supported for transient response analysis. 

I think one of the very important things is to define the transient analysis properly(TSTEP and damping etc.), once a reasonable results is obtained, the optimization can be set up on top of it. 

You can ask the user to contact support team if they meet any difficulties.
