GFEM / DEM Capabilities - How to further simulate a detailed area in a large part?

Hello Everyone,

I am currently in the process of analysing a large part in HyperWorks. For simplicity sake, imagine something like a bicycle frame.
On a global level that is fine to do, I can do a rather rough meshing and receive enough accuracy.
However when I want to further analyse a smaller detail of this large part, (for example, the wheel suspensions or add-on components or similar) I get into trouble. Once I switch from a global model to a detailled model I am missing all the forces/displacements that are generated in the roughly-meshed global model of the bicycle frame. Now I could simply model the rest of the bicycle as well, but that would make the model huge!
Now, the question would be what is the best practive of moving from GFEM to DFEM and use the results that I generated in the global model as boundary conditions in my detailled model?

Any help would be fantastic!

Thank you and best regards.
