Hello.

I have a 2D plane strain model with element property P_14 Solid. Could you please tell me how to display stress of this property type. I find control card

/ANIM/BRICK/TENS/STRESS

but I do not know how to use this.

Thanks

    Hi,

In the engine file use /ANIM/BRICK/TENS/STRESS/ALL card and run the analysis.

    Hi,

Can you try with  /ANIM/BRICK/TENS/STRESS/111 in the engine file and update.

    Hi,

/ANIM/BRICK/TENS/STRESS/ijk, ijk is the Integration Point Number of the element.  If the integration point ijk does not exist in a solid, stress tensor is set to 0.

A document on the same is attached along for your reference.  Are you using Student Edition and which HyperWorks version are you using?.

If possible please share the model through secure dropbox so that we can review.

    Hi,

For plain strain problem this keyword will not work. Please use ./ANIM/ELEM/SIGX, Y, Z ...etc for the stress results in the required directions.

The updated engine file and .h3d has been sent.

    Hi,

You can use /ANIM/BRICK/TENS/STRAIN/ALL for solid elements and /ANIM/SHELL/TENS/STRAIN/ALL for shell elements and in HyperView you can choose the directions.

    Hello

In your picture i think it is the strain for shell elements.

For my case I use solid element but I can not see the strain.

Do you have any suggestion for me?

    Hi,

For running plane strain analysis we have some limitations in RADIOSS. Only plastic strain works for plane strain problems.

I'll check internally for any possibilities to extract strain results for plane strain problems and if i get some possible workarounds I'll get back to you.
