    Hi @Korosh

I don't see any elements in your model.

If you want to know how to create contacts, please refer to RADIOSS help for tutorials and examples.

You can also go through the RADIOSS ebook which is available for free https://altairuniversity.com/free-ebooks-2/

What is the use of PLINKS? We usually create it using spot weld options. How PLINK differs from RBE2

    Hi Mahit

PLINKS are link elements used in PAMCRASH. They are penalty-based, mass-less contact element with user definable linear and non linear element stiffness and strength capabilities.

They are used to represent the response and failure of spot welds, riveted joints and bolts.

RBE are rigid body elements used in HyperMesh. They are the most simple of 1D elements and they simply connect two or more nodes together. In the case of an RBE2, one node serves as the Independent and the other(s) the Dependant node(s). The dependent node(s) simply follow the motion of the Independent node in the Degrees of Freedom that have been linked. These elements are useful to simply represent welds or to tie together two dissimilar meshes. They are also used to transmit load across nodes/elements

    Hope it is clear:)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
