RapidMiner Community and Database use / use of Database Drivers?

hi,

 

I read that RapidMiner COmmunity editions don't support database drivers... however, to connect to databases, there are always drivers like JDBC, etc. required or not?

I wanted to use either SQL Expres 2016 or MySQL database.. does the community edition enable me to use those? or only MySQL?

and MySQL works without a driver then? or has it an inbuilt driver?

    Hi Fred,

     

    in the community edition you can only connect to Postgres and MySQL using the JDBC interface.

    ok but in Rapidminer 5.3 I can still connect to SQLServer ... but not in 7 anymore I guess...
